BIOCAPAN researcher in CEA, Maxime Pierron, presented the last results in the session on Micro/Nano Fluidics at the 14th International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems (NEMS) yielded in Bangkok in April 2019. He presented the developed method for microencapsulation of human islets (Langerhans islets) that represents a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) like process, which allows a fully automated encapsulation of islets providing ready-to-implant microcapsules.
This conference gave a good opportunity to share the results with the scientific community and to have an overview of the latest scientific advances in the area of nano and microfluidics.
